Hello everyone! Can I get a smoothie please? This is my my new morning and anytime of the day drink. Right now I make sure to have myself a smoothie in the morning, before I eat my first meal of the day. Once again, my smoothie choices are directly influenced by what my body needs. So I've decided to use Berries of all kinds and Pineapple as my fruit of choice for my smoothies. I'm going to do more research and find myself a good veggie smoothie as well. I want healthy but tasty too!
My smoothie can consist of Strawberries, Blueberries, Blackberries, Cranberries, and Raspberries. Get the picture? They're all kidney friendly as well as the Pineapple. My Smoothie usually consists of Organic Coconut Milk that's low in sodium and potassium two enemies of my damaged kidneys. I use unsweetened coconut milk and unsweetened vanilla almond milk no more than a cup of one or the other. Yes I've done my research and I avoid some chemicals found it Almond milk that are not good for consumption. I keep my smoothie pretty healthy and low calorie as well. I have to count those calories! I also use a bit of sweetener as well, yeah I know that's controversial as well.
